Will a Tramp & Tumbling gymnastics class help me with my cheer leading jumps too?

Besides working on my flexibility and flips, will I be able to work on things like toe touches? What exactly is taught in a T+T class? Thanks

  1. Well, I coach a T&T class for cheer leaders and I will often set a station in front of mirrors for the girls to work on their jumps while waiting for a turn for tumbling.  Outside of that, most will not go into teaching jumps for cheer leading.  However the leg work out that you will get from the class will make your jumps higher and hopefully help make it look better, such as straight legs.

  2. at the gym i go to, they offer a cheer tumble class. check the gym for those. otherwise, you may be ablle to ask if you can have like 5 minutes at the end of class to work on them.

  3. Yes, it should help with jumps. At the gym where my kids go they do toe touches plus some conditioning exercises that really help.

You can watch videos of beginner tumbling classes on the 'net: http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=tumblin...

    Good luck!
