Will a UK playstation 2 connect to a TV in Turkey?

I am going on holiday to turkey soon and would like to take my PS2 with me to watch DVDs in the hotel room but i am not sure if it will connect using the same wires from the uk? Also, would it be best to carry it in my hand luggage or in my suitcase-i know baggage handlers can be rough!!!

  1. buy a universal plug adaptor. the one for travelling, the one with all the plug types & holes.
