The general consensus is no so if I take my portable DVD player, are the TV's set up the same way an American TV is?? (i.e. with the red, yellow, and white audio and video cables???) Will I be able to plug my DVD player into an Irish TV?

  1. depends on the dvd player but probably not. if the dvd player recognises dvds from all regions den ur fine but if it only recognises dvds from the europe region it wont wrk.

  2. No.  Unless the machine recognized DVD's from all zones.

    Different formatting.

Also will not play in machines set for Asia, etc.

  3. no different reigions

  4. No, its formatted differently

  5. You will be able to play it on a laptop or a computer, otherwise, unless you have a multiregional dvd player (these are a little more expensive) it won't play.

  6. It depends on the DVD player. Usually, it won't, as Ireland and the US are different regions. Look for a multi-regional DVD player - that will play DVDs from all over the world.

  7. not unless you bring a portable DVD player from the US, and Irish DVDs will not play in the US

  8. NO... it is a different format
