Will a US television-based game work on a tv in Europe?

Question

I want to get some television-based (not computer-based) video games for children's homes in Lithuania. In the US, we hook those up to our tv's with a cord that has two RCA plugs on the end. Will these work in Europe? Do I need anything other than the RCA plugs to make the connection?

European TVs use a different scanning and resolution that North American TVs, so I don't think this idea will work.
