I have a 75 JOHNSON OUTBOARD AND WAS WANDERING IF A REGULAR AUTOMOBILE TACH WOULD WORK THE SAME?

  1. sorry, won't work.

    automobile spark plugs fire every other rotation, 2-stroke outboard fires every rotation.

    so even if you found an automotive tach with a setting for a 3-cylinder engine, it wouldn't work.
