  1. Nope, it won't clear immediatly, 3 to 5 working days is the norm but as it's an internal transfer of money it should be closer to 3.

  2. I,m afraid not. 3-5 working days is the norm

  3. no, some banks clear in 3-4 days others take 7

  4. only if the account the check is drawn on has funds in it!

  5. yes should do as its thre same bank, i know when i pay a lloyds cheque into another lloyds account it does, i think only if paying into a different bank it will tale 5 working days

  6. Never heard of any cheque clearing instantly...ever. Actually about a year ago there was a big debate about this and the reason why in these technology driven times it does take so long to clear a cheque. It all got swept under the carpet of course because banks and other massive companies basically rule this country....

  7. If it is one of their own bank drafts it might, as you have to pay for the draft up front, so the money is there (sitting in a Bank of Scotland suspense account earning THEM interest until the draft is cashed).

If a normal personal cheque then 3-5 days, depending on the type of account you have. Generally current accounts have faster clearance times than savings accounts.

  8. I think it still takes 3-5 days for the cheque to clear.
