No, this won't work.

We're still burning the same amount of gas, just buying it on different days changes nothing. Supply and demand will remain constant.

Another note: It's the falling dollar and poor monetary policy, not so much as supply, that's driven the recent increase in prices.

It will not make a difference at all. People need to drive to work. People will continue to drive as they normally do. If they skip buying one day they will just buy that much more the next day. A paltry effort like this can't have any effect. Plus, the demand for oil is global. It would take a massive worldwide effort to burn less fuel not just in our cars, but in all of the other forms of transportation that exist, boats, cars, trains, power plants, etc.

No, it would have to go one for months at a time. The fuel companies know that we "need" to buy gas. So it not happening for two days won't give them anything to worry about.

Yes, I think it would make a difference. In the past it has. Not too long ago there was a fuel out, lots of people banned together for one day, and did not purchase fuel. The following day gas prices dropped 30 cents. If enough people stand up against the big oil companies and show them that the American consumer will not tolerate this any longer, they will do something. It is our bill money, grocery money, children's education, and our livelyhoods that are making them richer. So YES, it will make a difference! I will spread the word in my community. We need to start somewhere. So I will stand up and say enough. I hope there are more people willing to  try to make a difference out there.  PEOPLE  we can make a difference, if we stand together.
