  1. Only gigantically large ones.  Pore size in a cotton ball is measured in fractions of an inch.  Some micro-organisms are so small that they're not filtered by activated carbon.


  2. i think it can partially filters micro-organism.. only if the cotton balls are tightly compressed forming a dense layer of cotton. this action eliminate empty space inside the cotton ball thus provide possible filtration

  3. it depends how its positioned and where the organisms are coming from.Id say probably not
