no...but it will make it faster,but youll lose mpg,just slightly mind,...well worth the removal....and if you dont know what they look like inside,have a look when its off,then you know where all the power goes....

It will not harm your car.

A "catalysed" vehicle with the cat removed is a lot filthier than a "non catalysed" car. You can usually smell the difference as some chavster speeds by in his so called modified corsa or whatever.

As regards a reduction in exhaust backpressure you may loose a little power at lower revs and gain a small amount at high revs. But this depends on manifold design and other factors. Its not really performance enhancing on its own.

No. It will reduce back-pressure allowing exhaust to leave your engine more freely. It will give you quicker throttle response and make your car sound sweeter.

And unless you drive a Porsche or a turbo'd Supra, don't worry about re-mapping any computer gizz-jazz... that's b.s.

Make sure you have it welded PROPERLY with the same diameter of pipe, otherwise it will leak and sound like $#!T and your performance will go to zero.

And take your old Cat in to get recycled. They are worth ALOT of money right now due to precious metal deposits in them.

That's why eveyone in the states is stealin em off trucks.

HAhahah and don't worry about O2 sensors either.. unless you happen to have an O2 sensor that is mounted AFTER the cat...

Your car MIGHT run like a bag of sh1te if you de cat it WITHOUT getting the ecu remapped.

i take it replace cat converter for a straight through pipe no damage but is an mot failure

if done right no damage, but you won't pass your mot unless you put your old one back on for the test.
