  1. There is no possible way this could happen. Turning water into ice doesnt change how much water is in the bottle.

  2. Are you serious Clark?

  3. No, it's the same thing if you were to put ice in a glass of water.  It doesn't overflow once the ice melts because the ice is displacing the same amount when it is a solid as when it is a liquid.

  4. As already said, water is special, because it actually has less density when solid, unlike most substances. So it will be less than full.

  5. Water expands when it freezes so a frozen water bottle will actually shrink a little when it melts.

  6. VODKA!~ WE  WANT MORE!!

  7. no

  8. no. it will melt to the same amount as before

  9. Normally no however there is the possibility of an ice dam occurring which will force water out if the bottle has it cap off

  10. Just the opposite.  Water expands when it freezes.  That's why you want to leave some room in the bottle before freezing it.  Most bottled water has enough air in the bottle to allow freezing without cracking the bottle, but not all.  However, if it is frozen, you have nothing to worry about by thawing it.

  11. No.  The water expanded when it froze, when it thaws the water will return to it's original liquid volume.

  12. it will overflow if it's still partially frozen because water expands when frozen..

  13. no i don,t think so!!
