  1. A full size comforter will work on an xl twin bed, but it will look more like a bedspread rather than a comforter since the width on the xl twin is shorter.  If the length on the sides of the comforter look too long to you, you can put bed risers under the legs of the bed to make it higher.  Bed risers are easy to find right now at places like Bed Bath and Beyond, Linen's & Things, etc. and they help by adding space under your bed for storage boxes.   Good luck at college!!!

  2. a double or full will be bit wider but so what , just as well be in comfort .

  3. No, I think a full would be fine. Especially if you have an x-tra long twin.

  4. No, it won't be too big.  A comforter is made so as not to fall all the way to the floor (which is why you usually need a bed skirt with a comforter if you don't want the bottom portion of the bed showing).  The full sized comforter on a single or twin bed  will just hang down more like a bedspread or blanket (but still not touch the floor).  I prefer getting a larger comforter for my beds because it keeps me from having to get a bed skirt to "complete" the look.  If you want a bed skirt, it will still look good though -- I just prefer not to use one myself.

  5. even if it is to big , you can even it out on the sides of the bed.

    GO 4 IT

  6. Full and Queen are closer in size I believe than full and twin.
