Will a generator damage my cordless drill battery while charging?

  1. Not as long as it is putting out the right voltage for the charger. Most chargers are DC units which use a transformer to convert AC to the correct DC level to charge the drill. That gives some amount of "protection" to the charger and the output is DC. The generator needs only supply the correct AC voltage. Together they work fine as long as the Generator Voltage does not exceed the level needed by the charge adapter.
