  6. LMAO!  Ummm...you haven't seen me in February, have you?

    In February, the temperature never gets much above NEGATIVE 30 (F).  February is also when my goats begin to kid.  I'm outside in the freezing cold day and night, checking for newborn kids.

    I'll be tramping into the feed store at 8AM when they open, bags under the eyes from lack of sleep, icky hair stuffed under a wool hat (don't dare shower when your going outside in that cold weather every hour or two, could mean SERRIOUS frostbite).  My winter clothes covered with straw, hay, and wood chips....not to mention the oder of goat.  

    Sometimes I'm oddly "lumpy" as I have newborn kids stuffed in my coat I'm warming with my own body heat.

    Skin will be windburned, lips chapped to the point of cracking.  Wearing barn boots covered with...well the stuff from barn floors!

    I haven't died yet!  Indeed, some people stare at me, like I'm some kind of angel....at least when they hear a baby start to bleat inside my coat, or poke it's head out.

    Eventually kidding season ends, and I can go back to looking, and smelling like a lady, none the worse for wear (at least once my lips heal).

  12. What?  Are you serious?  No of course a women will not die if she doesn't make herself look pretty for people.  I can't stand it if you just want to run to the store and some girl needs to spend three hours prepping for a fifteen minute errand.
