Will a good website encourage more buyers?

My dad owns his own business, and his website is not that nice compared to other rival companys. Should he make a new website.Can you give me some examples of good ones. Website: www.kinsleycarpets.com

Definatly, It should Be organized with lots of information, and have lots of color and definition, not just flat plain colors, make it stand out.

A company's website is an extension of their brand and should do what it can to build a positive impression with potential customers.  Often, your website will be the first touch point with them.

With more and more people doing their searches online, it's even more important to have a website that gives visitors the right impression -- whether you're positioning your brand as professional, trustworthy, fun, good value, or what have you.

Your dad's website looks like it was built 10 years ago (looking at the source code, the site is optimized for Internet Explorer 4 so that's not far off).  An update is probably in order...

How far to go with a redesign will depend on whether or not your dad is driving traffic to the website.  For example, if he's got the website URL on his business cards, brochures, flyers, and marketing material, make sure that  it gets updated and cleaned up.

If he's advertising the business in print, radio, or tv, he'll want to get more done.  Most people who see (or hear) the ads are going to check out the site.  The more professional it is, the more likely the visitors will be to pick up the phone and call, or stop by the store...

Definately the better the design of the website the more attractive it will look to the customer.

To get more buyers make sure you show alot of value to the buyers and over deliver. Customers love it when you over delivery ;)
