yes, but the fueling is different so is the chain and sprockets.

Easy job though.

Get a 1000 engine. Much better!

this has absolutely nothing to do with your question but i spent five months stuffing a gsxr1000 motor in my 96 banshee, its the king of the hills out at dunes. any way the motor will fit but as the other guy said, fueling, chain and sprockets are different and so are electronics
