  1. Usually they do not get louder.  A good silencer with baffles instead of mesh or wipes will not get louder under most circumstances.  It the silencer is overheated, the baffles can fail resulting in a loss of accuracy and more noise.  If the silencer is used with a cooling medium like grease or water, then as it is used it gets louder until the internals are re-wetted.  A silencer shot until it is very hot may also absorb less heat from the gun powder gases.

Silencers that get louder with use are those made with wipes (rubber disks) or mesh.  Mesh tends to break down under the heat. Wipes break apart after 5-10 rounds and cease to work after about 20-30 rounds.

  2. Heat won't effect a silencer if it's properly designed.  The whole idea behind a silencer is to disrupt the high pressure shock-wave of compressed gas that exits the muzzle behind the bullet.  That usually involves some sort of 'baffle' arrangement to slow down the expanding gasses.

Note to that a silencer only works on muzzle blast.  It does nothing to silence the ejection noise of an automatic or the small amount of gas leakage between the forcing cone and the cylinder of a 'wheel gun'.  And it won't silence the shock wave which builds up from a round that is supersonic (which is why ammunition intended to be used with a silencer is sub-sonic).
