  1. dark side of the moon is same as bright side except very low temperature. If he is in a protected suit with temperature control no harm. But with out light he can not walk or see anything!

  2. Most definitely.

The dark side of the moon has no sun and no warmth what so ever, making it freezing to the bone.

  3. Not any more so than if they go to the side that faces Earth.  No matter where you are on the Moon, the Sun rises, reaches noon in about 7 days, sets in another 7 days, and then you have about 14 days of night.

  4. Yes.  The Mooninites reside there.  And we are no match for their 5000 dimensions.

  5. There is no dark side of the moon.

All areas of the moon (except for some craters at the moon's south pole) receive sunlight.

The "far side" of the moon is not any different in environment than the near side.

A human will die anywhere on the moon if they are not protected by a spacesuit - if an astronaut is in a spacesuit with all the requirements for survival (the most critical will be power and oxygen), they can survive anywhere on the moon or in space, at least until their supplies run out.

  6. Yes, but only if the spacesuit wasn't heated.

BTW, the Apollo Moon suits didn't have heaters--they didn't need them as the Sun heated the lunar surface to at least 150 degrees Fahrenheit during the lunar morning; the astronauts wore water-cooled undergarments under their spacesuits.

  7. Don't believe so.

  8. absolutely, thats why all the apollo missions were to the near side.  And the far side objects are mostly named after Russians--and we all know that russians kill.   well, I guess other russians might survive on the far side of the moon, but not any other nationality.

  9. 1. There is no dark side, there is just the far side (which we don't see, but it still gets sun)

    2. I assume what you want to know is really "far side of the moon compared to the near side"...

Generally no, the far side isn't that different from the near side, you have to deal with the same issues i.e.

    - vacuum

    - incoming heat from the sun

    - radiating away heat during the night

  10. Being that there really is no "dark side" of the moon....then I'd say no.

If you mean the far side...the side we never see on Earth...then....the answer is still no.

Given the same equipment that they used for the "real" moon landings..(had to add that ;)......then the survival rate would be the same.

  11. impossible.

since the dark side of the moon only exists in the minds of scientific illiterates, it would be very difficult for a person to get in there, let alone die there.

  12. Without a space suit, you'd die pretty quickly on either side of the Moon.  The part that's currently light would be really hot, and the part that's currently dark would be really cold.  Plus there's no air.  But with a heated suit, you could survive for a while on the dark side.  Note - there's not permanently dark side of the Moon.

  13. If they where a space suit, they'd be fine, though why anyone wouldn't where a space suit, I have no idea, because they'd die with out one in space anyway.

  14. Down and dirty answer ---- N-O

  15. if you don't have a spacesuite on then you'd die on either side of the moon. thd dark side of the moon is colder because the sun doesn't hit it as much as it does the side that we see. infact, we can't see the dark side of the moon at all. it is extreamily cold, and can only be seen if you are flying around the moon. if a human is in a space suit, he/she should be fine. if not, then you have problems. all of the moon is extreamily cold, there is no air, and little pressure.
