I'm thinking about getting a 16gb or 32gb sd card and using that to store me music from itunes and pictures from my camera. Will this work better or should I stick with my Maxtor external hard drive?

  1. a usb harddrive will be cheaper than a memory card

but memorycards aren't suceptible to being banged around.

everybodys computers have USB but not everybody had compact flash or sd memory slots

your choice - i personally use usb hd's the cases are like $20 and i use old laptop HD's I get for free - most 30 and 40 gb

  2. A USB Drive would be better, they're the most robust and reliable form of storage and they are not so small you would lose it unlike an SD card, they are also cheaper in price and whilst they can have a storage size upto 256GB! (very expensive!) an top end SD card would only hold around 16gb
