Will a linksys router work with a Mac?

I am considering buying a Macbook and the tutorials there say i need an apple product to use wi-fi. I am wondering if i can use the network created by the linksys. Its A,B,G, and N

  1. It should work fine - but you probably can't use the easy-setup wizard on a Mac.

    Most networking products are OS-Independant - they work equally well on Mac, Windows, Linux, Unix, etc...

    The easy setup wizards, however, are usually written for Windows (or Mac if it's a Apple product) because it's most common.


  2. I had a PowerBook G4 and I was able to connect to my linksys router with no problems at all, right when I brought the computer home it connected right to my linksys wireless network, no setup or anything!

  3. I set my Daughters Mac up using a Linksys Wireless Router.
