Will a marine corp armorer (job 2111) ever see any combat?

Just use common sense dude..Hes an armor..He issues, fixes, and maintains records of weapons of all types..

If he is the infantry armorer then he will be near the infantry but he will not be fighting along side of then.

Since he will be with the infantry there will be a great possibility of enemy contact.

To answer your question, NO, he should never see combat but as we have seen and learned in these urban wars is that anyone can be thrusted into the battle field while going from point A to point B..

As long as you are in a warzone you could end up in a firefight. They even train AF guys to run convoys now.

If you want to join the marines because you think it would be cool or youll finally get that respect you think you deserve, you will be in for a nasty shock. You will be treated like c**p and you will be expected to give your life if it comes down to it. You will however make some very close friends and make yourself a much better person if you want to become one.

It's possible every MOS is possible for deployment. I don't know exactly what that is so that's why I'm not giving you details.
