Will a misdemeanor on criminal background for concealed hang gun PERMIT cause me not to get a job?

i have my concealed hand gun permit..and last year i called a cop to help me a kid hit me from behind so i called the cops long story short in order to get this permit you have to show it to a officer when they are around and i forgot due to accident soo he wrote me a citation making me have a misdemeanor! the judge and DA threw it out no time done no arrest..and im looking for work but i tell the employers about it..i got hired at a job but now they are doing background check..should i worry..i told them it was there and it isnt really criminal and that it is going to come off soon (exspungable)

It would depend on the type of job and what they ask on the application.  If they ask about criminal charges or convictions.  If they ask about criminal charges you would have to tell them, if you don't they can use it to not hire because you are not truthful.  If they ask about criminal convictions then no, you don't need to tell them since you were not convicted.  

    Beware most will still ask about anything which may bar you from the job.  Then if you don't and they find it on a criminal history you won't get the job.  

    Jobs can not hire you based on a background, that's why they do backgrounds.  But they need a reason like job with pubic safety, given trust, handling money, etc.  Your background can't be used against you to get a crappy low paying job, but anything that pays well in the government or with trust can.


  2. Usually, only convictions will bar you from employment.

  3. employers cant use your background check against you. Its called descrimination. The equal  employment oppurtunity act doesnt allow that
