Will a new iTunes delete current songs on my iPod?

i have all of my songs on my iPod already and iTunes on my other computer. if i install iTunes on my 2nd computer and plug in my iPod will it delete all of my songs? Or will it add them to the library?

  2. Yes it will delete them and add the ones on the new itunes.


  3. No, just make sure you select "manually manage music and video" after you connected your ipod to itunes (don't use "automatically synch"). It will not add them to the library though but you'll be able to play when your ipod is connected. Let me know if you need more info how to do this.

Auto sync will delete the ipod music. itune blocks this function since itune is the tool with one way to transfer files from itune to ipod. you can utilize other tools besides itunes to achieve that.
