Will a nice tan even out my freckles or make them darker?

My mom keeps telling me that I should get a tan on my face to even out my freckles, she said that the tan will make my freckles the same color as my skin. I told her that tanning would make my freckles darker and its really bad for my skin so i would rather not tan. Im not sure which of these answers are right so which should i do?

it will make them get darker and stand out more. my friend has a lot of freckles and she tried doing that and her made her freckles more noticalble!

my freckles get a lot brighter and stick out more when i'm out in the sun, and over the winter they blend with my skin.

but it might be different for you, i'm not sure.

it will make them show up more sorry. i have freckles and when i get tan they become much darker!

My freckles get alot darker when im out in the sun...plus im fair skined so if i try to tan i acutally burn lol. So I think your mom is wrong. Plus frekcles are cute!

it will just give you more freckles.

and make them like orange..kind of.

my cousin has a million freckles.

and when we like swim and layout, they get so dark and she gets so much more!

tanning is bad for your skin

your freckles will not only stand out more if you start tanning, but they will get bigger.

my dad looks like he has a tan on his arms and a few other places, but really its just where the freckles have gotten so big that they run together.

listen i have freckles like you wouldn't believe. you need to go tanning once a week your going to feel really weird at first your freckles will stick out but about after a month your skin color will start to lighten up. chances are you have really fair skin like myself , so you should also use a self tanner on your face, dove self tanner moisturizing seems to work the best for me

im pretty sure on most people tans make their freckles darker...my friend went to the dominican for two weeks and he came back pale with a billion more freckles than he did before he went.
