  1. It doesn't really matter which carrier you use. Mexico is one of the worst countries when it comes to receiving packages. I would only send small items registered mail with little value.

  2. That's a very tricky question.

It's all a matter of luck.

Unfortunately, mailed packages are easily lost, delivered to the wrong address, damaged, stolen, misplaced, kept by customs agents, etc.

I hate to say this but it's a gamble.

And, sometimes, though it's a gift the person who is the recipient may be asked to pay a fee for taxes, importing fees, shipping (though it's all been paid by the sender!).

Next time, use an international courier.

    Keep your finger crossed.

Your gift may be delivered  safely!

  3. It depends on a wide variety of factors.  In my experience, every single thing I have had mailed to me from the States has made it to me, eventually, but some things have taken a good long time.

It really depends on what you sent, what carrier you used, whether or not customs decides to put a hold on it, whether or not it winds up in someones pocket, whether or not your Mexican address was thorough enough, etc.

Again, I have never not received things sent to me, but have heard all the tales.

    Good luck!

  4. WELL,  it depends how honest the delivery guys are u know..... it is sad

  5. Well, it should make it, but it may take a while. I mailed pictures from Northern California to Ensenada (about 2 hours via plane), and they took over a month to get there.  The other issue is what kind of gift you sent and whether it might be appealing to anyone who handles the package en route...if so, it may not actually make it to the recipient.

    ...

  6. Sometimes...but if you want to be sure it gets there, and has everything in it, and arrives in less than 3 months, send it by DHL or Fed-es.  Costs more , but works much better.  I have recieved a couple of packages mailed to me, but am still waiting for my birthday present mailed 2 1/2 yrs ago...fat chance, huh?
