  1. Yes most likely.  You are using their service and bandwidth regardless.  You will get charged ;)


  2. yes you will have to pay them for there DSL services at minimum... you can cancel the voice side of the line if you do not need it, and just get "dry" or "naked" DSL... but that costs more then the DSL bundled with landline phone service, so it may be cheaper to just get the most basic pay per use phone service put onto your DSL line, and then there is always the ability to use that landline in the event of an emergency...

  4. You can now get internet through other services.  You can get it through your satellite dish or cable.  I think there are companies out there that even have dishes just for internet.
