  1. I would have thought not, particularly if some time passes by.  I have quite a criminal record from my teens (borstal etc.) which I spent in care, but nothing for violence, s*x or drugs.  I have a London based PCO (mini-cab) licence, although I don't use it, and it required an enhanced CRB.

  2. I would presume yes. Your employer has to know if you have a history, and if so, what for. So in your case, I don't think you'll be able to be a HC Driver. Sorry.

  3. If, by saying 'stop me from passing' you mean return a clean sheet for a CRB check, the answer is no, you wont 'pass'.

You have a police record. Whether the caution was given on the street or in the police station, there is a record of it.

If, by saying 'stop me from passing' you mean being prevented from obtaining a Hackney Licence on account that you have a police record, the answer wont be so straightforward.

In theory, you *shouldn't* have a problem being allowed to obtain a Hack lic. because of your record.

I have a string of youthful convictions, and even a stupid punch-up just 2 years ago, and i have a licence.

It will of course all hinge on the policies of the Licencing officer for the area authority where you apply.

Your best bet is be up-front with them.

....and watch out for the soon-to-be-mandatory NVQ Level 1 qualification for Taxi Drivers.

  4. If you haven't been convicted of any crime, it wont show up on any checks
