Will a pool table fit comfortably in a "dining room" or would the room be too small?

we are looking at new construction and most of them have a den or dining room option. would a pool table work in this size of area? i dont know the exact dimensions...

  1. depends on what size the room is and what size the pool table is...


  2. The table might fit, but you have to be sure there is enough room for the pool cues.... that's the biggest problem people have, they can't use regular size pool cues in a room that's too small.

    They do make miniature pool cues... but I think that would stink.

    I like at least 6-7 ft on all sides  more of a den thing most dinning areas are not big enough

  4. I've included a link to a room chart which shows minimum dimensions for various table sizes. You must find out the exact dimensions to know for sure, since every house is different. The builders or real estate company can give you this information, and if they can't, they're really terrible, lol.

    8' is the most popular size for home tables, and 9' is standard size (the size you'd find in most pool halls).
