  1. The egg will not hatch. The egg breathes through small pores in the shell and if the eggs was submerged in water then if the egg was fertile, the embryo will die of suffocation. Also the egg also needed heat to survive and develop and being in the dead of summer here im sure you pool was pretty cool. So the chance of the egg to still be a live is very slim. Im very sorry :(

  2. The egg mostly likely will not hatch, for which there are 2 resons,

one is that the water is very cold, and the egg needs to stay at a warm temperature.

and two, The egg has a air sack. And tiny cracks are in all eggs. This usually isn't a bad thing, except the water can seep into the air sack.

  3. When birds lay eggs, the mothers throw out the duds. Most likely, the egg your sister found was not going to hatch anyway. But if it HAD been one that would have hatched if kept in the nest, just knocked out by wind or storm, then no, it still would not have hatched. Eggs "breathe" through microscopic pores in the egg's shell, and the water would have seeped through the shell, drowning the baby inside. If it didn't drown, it would have frozen to death. If you like, you can be respectful to the egg and the bird that laid it and bury it.

Most likely, though, the egg was laid unfertile.

  4. Nope, it will not hatch. The  water is cool and the egg needs warmth inorder for the egg to hatch.

  5. probably not
