  1. No, a home pregnancy test it will not be positive a week before your period is due.

A urine pregnancy test is usually positive about 12-13 days after ovulation or 1-2 days before your expected period, though in 1 in 4 pregnant women it won't be positive until after you miss your period.

  2. No, it won't. One thing that's good to know: Blood tests are a lot more accurate and show positive results a lot earlier than both regular and early detection HPT's. It's still early for a blood test though. Wait until a day or 2 after your period is due and then go to your doctor for a blood test. This is the most "sure" and fool-proof way to test for pregnancy. Good luck - I hope you get great news soon!

  3. All 4 times I was pregnant, I took the test well before missing my period and it worked. But it depends on your hormones. If you have high levels, than yes it will probably show.

    Good luck!

  4. Its possible, it depends on the sensitivity of the test and how much HCG you have in your system.

  5. No I have heard of people getting a positive HPT at 10 dpo and beyond but they test with early pregnancy tests. Different tests have different levels of sensitivity. It is not uncommon to get false negatives when you test even 2 days before your missed period. My best advice would be to wait until your period is due or go to the dollar tree and buy a LOT of tests and pee to your hearts desire.
