Question:

Will a signal booster help?

I hooked up my freeview box to my TV and it worked fine (aside from not being able to get BBC1 and BBC 2 but apparently that's a Brighton thing). But now I've added in my DVD player to the loop and the signal quality on the majority of the channels has deteriorated to the extended that they're unwatchable.

Do anyone know if a signal booster will help? Just thought I'd check before I spend my money. Many thanks

  1. If by saying you've added your DVD player in the loop, you mean that you have split the RF signal or you are passing it through the player, thereby reducing the RF power, then adding a booster to a point before the signal loss will help.

A digital bypass means that if you have a service which requires a STB to communicate back to the central office via the cable, the booster will allow the signal to pass through.
