I am interviewing for a job soon which is a home business with a small number of employees (ranging from high school age to retired). I don't think the job requires driving or anything dangerous. Should I expect them to drug test?

  1. The safe bet is probably.  In my experience the drug test doesn't come until I've accepted the job although these were sales positions with large corporations.  The smaller businesses though never required any drug testing.  Everybody is different so I would assume yes.

  2. Depends on the company, their policies and the available dollars they want to spend on HR related matters.  Some do, some don't.

As a small business owner, my advice . . .

    Best to be prepared.
