  1. This is one of those Yes- but.... answers.  While the Solas Concord is more efficient than the stock impeller, how much faster it can make your SeaDoo depends on such thing as what pitch you'd be using.  Typically, the higher the pitch number the lower the engine rpm will be, but if you go to high of a pitch with a stock engine, you'll need what seems like a calendar to eventually reach the higher speed. Consequently, a lower pitch impeller will give you a faster acceleration curve as your engine reaches it's peak rpm sooner, but will limit your top speed, so if you pick a Concord impeller with a lower than stock pitch, you'll accelerate quicker, but you won't be any faster, and may actually lose a few mph off your top end.  Your best bet would be to call Solas customer service and tell them how your ski is set up, and what your looking for as far as performance expectations, they can give you a recommendation of what impeller will work best.  You can also call Riva Racing's technical assistance hotline for their recommendations on what impeller will work best for your application:  (800) 241-4544

To give you an idea of what you can expect, I changed the impeller on my Yamaha with a Concord with a slightly higher than stock pitch, but I also did some carb modifications and CDI modification to take advantage of the higher rpm, with about $500 worth of parts and work I picked up about 2.5 mph on my top end, and a somewhat better powerband throughout the rpm range.

  2. I have no idea wich seadoo out of about 150 that have been made since 1988, that you have, but if your current impeller is rooted, definately!
