Will a sony ericsson K750i bought in Ireland work in Western Australia.?

Heading there in July 2008 and need to have mobile.

You probably won't get coverage outside of the main built-up areas, but otherwise yes.

If you change the sim card for one that works on a network in a local area then it will work, but if you use the one you already have then it will be very expensive.

The phone will work but youll need to buy a local sim card to actually be able to use the phone. You can get them for around $10... that includes $10 of prepaid credits. The phone will generally only pick up service in urban areas, however Australias just picked up "NextG" so when your purchase a SIM card make sure its "NextG" as it will give you extra mobile coverage than a normal SIM. When you buy one dont forget to send your number back home. Oh & it would a smart idea investing in a charger that would fit an Australian socket.
