Will a track light bulb fit in a desk lamp?

I have a turtle and i need a full spectrum light bulb for him. i got a good deal but its a track bulb and i dont know if it will fit in my desk lamp im using for him now.

It depends, some track light bulbs use prongs to connect to the fixture, while others use s***w in. If you buy it in person you can check to see what kind it is, but if your buying online you need to look at the picture and read the descriptions to find out what kind of connector it uses.
