  1. It depends on which engine your VII has in it. If it is a Ford 302, and you are trying to swap a transmission from a Mustang GT, yes. It will match up perfectly. However if your VII has the 2.4 DSL then no. There is no compatible "Mustang" transmission that will fit the 2.4 DSL perfectly. Good luck
