Will a transmission tune-up unstuck a ford taurus

trannie thats in safe mode....it won't get 3rd...and i want to sell it and get it gone! it did it before when it ran low on fluid, i put more fluid and eventually it freed up....then i gave the car to my girlfriend who ran out the fluid completely...now it's really stuck even after a new gasket and fluid. would getting some up into the torque convertor be the issue?

you can try an add trans conditioner to the fluid to free up some valve in the valve body but, if the trans was run low on fluid and then eventually out of fluid the clutches in the transmission have been slipping and they are probably worn out. the transmission is probably going to have to be rebuilt.

Though its along shot you might unplug the battery and let it sit for 30 minutes to clear out the computer and any codes in the system. Hook the baterry back up and see if anything has changed.

Though it sounds like you fried it.
