  1. If the tuner has a mic the it shoul work.

If you have a computer with microphone you can use this program:

If not, you can buy this one:

  2. hey edaeki........ the thing you want is an automatic chromatic tuner...... this has a mic built in so no need for cables........ it also has a pitch pipe that emits the note of the string you want to tune as a reference... great for training your ear and saving on breaking strings due to over tightening....... i own a QWIK TUNE... it should cost no more than fifteen skins... no matter where you live...... you could spend more but this one is adequate..... i'm a guitar maker to trade.......... good luck...

  3. yea you can use a tuner with a built in mic like a qwik tune QT11

  4. yes it will work on acoustic. you need a quite room and try too get the tuner as close to the guitar as possible. i always tune the high e first then tune the rest by ear. some of the newer tuners use vibrations instead of sound allowing you to tune when lots of noise is preasant.check  guitar center.com

  5. it will work on an acoustic, it goes by pitch unlike electric where you have the convenience of plugging a cable that is running through the input jack of the guitar

  6. it will work with both as it works on pitch
