Will a video tape purchased from the UK work in a US video tape machine?

I bought a old style video, not a DVD on ebay, but it came from the UK. I was just wondering if it would play on the VCR I have at home? Thanks

  1. NO BECAUSE OF THE DIFFERENT VIDEO FORMATS IT MIGHT BE MORE OF A PROBLEM WITH TVS THAN WITH VCRS


  2. the video system in UK is PAL. it is not likely a US tape player could play it, and if it did, most older CRT type TV sets wont handle the change in frame rate.
