Will a weathered looking font work for a tattoo?

im getting a tat tomorrow and the font i've been dreaming about is a kind of... destroyed looking one. im just wondering if anyone knows a lot about fonts, like if getting one that looks more... weathered will work because obviously the clean lines of the tat will fade with the years.

i would get it however you want.  you can always get touch ups over the years

I'd go ahead and get a cleaner font because of the fact that the lines will absolutely fade and blur. But then again, if you get the weathered font you'll look like that tattoo is older than it is, which is what you may be going for. Either way - YAY on your choice to tattoo!
