Will a wiffle gofl ball actually help me when I practice in my backyard?

I want to use a wiffle ball so I don't have to go the driving range everytime I want to practice my golf swing.

I think the key to golf is the proper swing and being able to do it consistently.practicing with wiffle balls is good as long as you don't train your body improperly for a bad swing.

Nothing beats practicing at a complete range, where you can see your shots land and how they get there. But there is absolutely nothing wrong with practicing shots with a wiffle ball. You can see the spin of the ball off the clubface, which is good, and the repetitive action of the swing is good as well.

The best suggestion I saw on an instruction piece was to hit a lot of shots with the wiffle ball, then, head to the range when you can and follow up with shots. It doesn't have to be the same day, just so long as you have that muscle memory to remember the swing.

Practice does make perfect.

If you have no other access to a range or a course, the wiffle ball will suffice. This will keep you swinging. However you get very little feed back from hitting the wiffle ball so you can't tell whether you are on the swing plane or not.

Wiffle balls are about the worst practice tool that you can use. They are unbalanced, do not fly true and give you no indication as to how you are actually hitting the ball.

one great way to practice is not with wiffle balls but with birdieballs they are just like a golf ball same feel everything except the max you can hit it is about 60 yards and less..hit as hard as you want with any club...visit www.birdieball.com to purchase some...kindof expensive but worth it...

yes, ball striking is everything in golf! They will help you with hand eye and ball striking but you wont know if you a are hooking or slicing with whiffle balls. they work well for the bk yard but you still need to hit range balls occasionally.
