Will a world radio pick up bbc radio stations outside UK?

I am in paris and need bbc radio 4. I want to buy a world radio rather than internet radio, but cant find out if it will pick up bbc radio 4.

Go to an electronics store and ask. I suspect it will. I know a small short wave will pick up those BBC stations that broadcast in short wave - you could try that. I believe they are essentially the same thing, though one of our more technically inclined members may gently correct me (as they often do).
