I have a perfectly good Canon EOS 35mm SLR, rather than go to the expense of getting a new digital SLR (especially in the supposedly pre recession UK), will a say 70-300 zoom digital SLR lens work with it?

  1. Since your SLR is and EOS camera it will use the EF lens mount. All new Canon lenses are either EF or EF-S. The EF-S will not work with your camera.

The Canon 70-300mm is an EF lens so it'll work on your camera.

  2. Some will, some won't.  Make sure the lens will provide coverage for the entire 35mm frame.  Some lenses made for digital cover only an "APS"-sized area.

  3. the EF lenses will work with your EOS camera, the EF-S lenses will not.

  4. well: yes of course it will work I know about Kodak Digital Camera
