Palin is very much anti-abortion. Does that mean it will be outlawed.

What effect will this have?

  1. i sure hope so .........murder is murder  doesn t matter what age ........

  2. I hope it will be.  Abortion is murder and should be outlawed.  It's another human life that's on the line and not even the mother has the right to snuff out the life of her unborn child!

  3. It might cause fewer babies to be killed.  (but I doubt they'll try to override states' rights.)

  4. We will got back to the times when people came home & found their 13 year old in bed having had bled to death or a mother of 4 dying from a back ally abortion. What they want is just to hurt poor people as usual. But people of all walks of live have abortions. It just means they will stop a human being from getting health care for abortions. Meanwhile, Palin brags about her own use of a gun. I imagine young girls who go to have back ally abortions & can't afford them will be asked to sell drugs & maybe even injected with drugs so this will bring more addicts. It is inhuman. If they don't want abortions so much they should do something like building up the structure of life for poor people but they are against that too.

  5. yes.... no abortions on the ticket..

its too small... they usually use a table with stirrups.

  6. No.  First, the legislation to outlaw abortions would never pass a Democrat-controlled Congress.  Second, Republicans never actually do anything about abortion.  They just like to bring it up every 4 years to impugn the morality of Democrats.

  7. getting it by congress will be an issue.  Also abortions of rape victims and incest should be allowed but under the Mccain Palin plan they would be outlawed if they could do it and well  I wonder a 14 year old rape victim forced against her will to bring a child into the world......

  8. It would have to get passed in congress and then signed by the President, so no.

  9. Yep. McCain vowed to appoint more Supreme Court judges in the style of Alito and Scalia. If he's successful in this, abortion and homosexuality will surely be recriminalized in the blip of a second. Affirmative action will be abolished. There are already recent lawsuits pending that are testing our already conservative-leaning courts.

Currently the Supreme Court leans 5-4, with 1 conservative judge being the swing vote. The avergae U.S. President appoints at least 2 judges in his term. If McCain is elected, he may very well tip the court to a 7-2 majority. Judicial appointments tend to impact the court for at least the next 45 years.

  10. 3 supreme court justices are older than McCain and there is a high probability of them retiring within 4 years. If replaced by McCain/Palin, they would adhere, according to McCain, to alito's understanding of the constitution...who is a big time right winger. If even one of them retires, the majority would be in the hands of conservative judges and it is highly likely that roe v wade would be overturned....or at the very least changed drastically.

  11. Not likely, Bush has been in office for 8 years, and you still have record abortion numbers.

As for effect, less humans being aborted?

  12. A President can't just outlaw abortion.  If that was the case then Bush would have done that on day one.   You should have paid more attention in school when they taught you about the three branches of Government.

  13. Congress and the president won't outlaw it. However the president appoints the supreme court justices who CAN change things

  14. ask the supreme court

Only they can overturn Roe vs Wade

  15. That would be idealic

  16. It means that when another Supreme Court justice retires he/she will be replaced with a very conservative justice.

The president can't outlaw abortion. But they appoint Supreme Court justices who do.

  17. I doubt it.  It's harder to do than it sounds.  And for the sake of girls everywhere I hope it doesn't become illegal.  The last thing this country needs is people returning to back alley abortions and dieing hours later from blood loss.  These women will do it any way so might as well save one life.

  18. no, Abortion will always be legal.

  19. Anti abortion morons will vote for McCain as he laughs at them. McCain can't change the Supreme court to overturn Roe v Wade, anti aborion people can't get anywhere with a case that would have the Court rule on Roe V Wade. And forget a consitutional amendment.
