I've already added true dual exhaust (no midpipes) to my v6 with 2 flowmaster 40 series mufflers..My question is, will adding the h-pipe improve my sound any more than what it already is?

  1. Adding H-pipes is actually to equilize the pressure between the pipes meaning exhaust will flow better through the dual exhaust and the flows you have installed- as far as sound, you may notice some difference but not much, h-pipe is more of a performance item than sound!

  2. Yes it might make your stang sound a little bit better, but your most likely going to start loosing bottom end torque due to lack of back preasure. Sometimes have a "too free flowing" exhaust isn't always great. The ypipe setup of v6's are designed to provide a quite ride, but also provide low end torque. But its your call if you want a better sounding exhaust over HP/Tq levels.

  3. You've pretty much done what you can. An H pipe might help a little but at the end of the day you still have a V6, and it's not going to sound like a V8 no matter what you do.
