  1. Adding muscle, especially to your legs, will definitely make you faster even if you get a little heavier in doing so.

  2. muscle will make u faster, if u really add muscle to ur legs, then u will have more power in ur stride which means u will run faster for a longer period of time and a strong upper body makes a strong core for running, hope this helps

  3. It will make you run faster as long as you don't bulk up alot, just  get really strong muscle espicialy in your legs

  4. Adding a little won't hurt, adding a lot will, of course. If you begin lifting go with low weight (like 60 % of your max) and high reps (3 sets of 10). That will help get you stronger and build muscle slowly but won't add too much bulk.

  5. Depends on which events you are doing and how much you are adding. If you are doing sprints/hurdles/long/triple jump it will help. If you are doing distance/marathon it'll slow you down

  6. muscle is heavier than fat, but i think you'll be able to run faster because your muscles are working together to help you run faster....

you know, a muscular person could run faster than a fat person...
