Will airlines let me bring sewing needles, pins, and safety pins in my carry on?

I'm going to be traveling in the next few weeks and wanted to sew my pointe shoes (ballet) on the plane. I would need to bring sewing pins, a small sewing needle, and safety pins.

I don't think that this would be a problem, but I just wanted to confirm the actual rules.

  1. You shouldnt have a problem. I would just purchase a small travel sized sewing kit.

  2. You might check with your airline just in case. I know my mom takes on knitting needles no problem.

  3. dream on - none - sew them before - you will not be

allowed - do something normal like read a book

you know they need doing so do it now

sorry its people like you with all this stuff that hold up

the security queues - surely you don't need to do this.

think about the person next to you, and those long queues

  4. I have passengers on my flights who are doing needle work all the time. I don't think it would be a problem. Happy flight!
