Will all laptops support Sims 2 CD version?

I have the Sims 2 PC-CD ROM. Will any laptop be able to run this version, including a Sony Vaio (which is the one i have) or do you have to have something in your laptop to run a CD ROM??

you just need to have a CD Rom drive in your laptop.  The only reason that so many people say that Sims2 won't run on laptops is that many (but not all) laptops do not have enough memory or a good enough video card.  Also, the game is much easier to play if you have a mouse instead of the touch pads that many laptops come with.  As long as your specific laptop meets the system requirements (linked below) Sims2 should play fine.

I do have a laptop, and have never had any problems with my Sims2 games.
