  1. I don’t think so, As the St. Edwards crown was used to coronate many kings too.

So unless Charles chooses the Imperial Crown or State Crown over the St. Edwards Crown, It might stay the same.

    Well, that’s my view atleast..

  2. In order to answer that question all you have to do is look at Royal Coats of Arms and military insignia over the past. You will see a distinct difference in the crowns.

The St. Edward's crown was adopted during the reign of Queen Victoria. Upon her death, the Tudor Crown was utilized for the reign of Edward VII to George VI, however, the badges and ranks returned to the St. Edward’s Crown upon the coronation of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

These two distinct crowns eventually became known as the Queen's Crown and the King's Crown.

So ... will the crown change again when Charles OR William become King? The chances are ... they will.

  3. No way. I certainly hope not at least.

  4. St Edward's crown was not made specifically for the queen. It's used by all monarchs so there's no reason for a rank badge to change.
