We're planning on getting 2 cats from a cat re-homing centre, and we've reserved them today.

One is an 8 week old ginger male kitten, and he seems quite friendly.

The other is an 11 year old long haired tortoiseshell female, who is very friendly, and loves people.

Will they be OK with each other?

The re-homing people seemed to think so, but I dont wanna get them home and find out they hate each other.

The kitten hasn't been neutered yet, because he's to young, and is also not allowed outside.

The female has, and is allowed outside.

  1. yes it may take time...but yes.  the cats outside is dangerous unless you are on a farm or very quiet part of town.

  2. Well first don't allow ANY outside until you decide to let them both out or none. It will be nuts trying to make sure one cat is in and one is out lol. Second older cats sleep more and like to get pet not really playful and kittens are. So they won't play with each other and you will have to play with the kitten more. I think it's great your taking in an older cat though.
