Will an EF lens fit into an EF-S lens mount? Such as the Canon XTi?

The Rebel XTI can mount both EF/EF-S lenses. So yea, an EF lens will fit on your camera. However, and EF-S lens won't work on a higher end canon Digital SLR Such as the canon EOS 40d. The 40d can only mount and EF lens. So The Canon XTI has that maneuverability.

Yes. An EF-S won't fit on an EF though.

That is what camera systems are all about ... compatibility .. so yes EF and EF-S lenses will fit on your entry level DSLR EOS XTi
